Bush Sixteen Stone (CD, Trauma Records, 1994) ****
Bush Razorblade Suitcase (CD, Trauma Records, 1996) ***
Genre: pop rock, alt metal, grunge
Places I remember: Real Groovy Records
Fab, and all the other pimply hyperboles: Everything Zen (Sixteen Stone)
Gear costume: Glycerine (Sixteen Stone)
Active compensatory factors: Bush were an interesting band in 1994. Clearly in thrall to the Pixies and the grunge sound of Nirvana and others, lead man Gavin Rossdale writes all the songs on debut Sixteen Stone.

Lead off track, Everything Zen is an incredible rush! The album also contains Glycerine which I also played endlessly back in the mid nineties.
I bought the follow up in 1996 as well. It was hugely popular, but I was disappointed. I find it too derivative and I'm not a fan of Steve Albini's production.
Where do they all belong? At that point I found fresh sounds and left Bush to their own devices. Amazingly, they are still going strong, but without me along for the ride.
