It's working (MGMT) (LP 3223)

MGMT  Congratulations (CD, Columbia Records, 2010) ***

GenreIndie pop

Places I remember: JB Hi Fi

Fab, and all the other pimply hyperboles: Flash Delirium

Gear costume: I Found A Whistle

They loom large in his legend (The Album Collection playlists): Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5

Active compensatory factors: Doh! I had this one ready to go a while back, after Metallica, and it slipped my mind. I don't know too much about MGMT - this is their only CD I own. I don't even quite know how to describe their music.

Wikipedia doesn't help as they plump for indie pop, synth pop, psychedelic pop, rock, electronic rock, as MGMT are a synthesis of all those approaches.

This is an album I bought after reading a review in Mojo Magazine and I haven't played it too many times. So, I played it three times in a row for this post and while I enjoyed it immensely I have struggled to remember the songs. Probably down to me.

Where do they all belong? A one off. The name annoys me btw. Just saying'.
