Active compensatory factors: This is her debut album after leaving 10,000 Maniacs (I'm not very familiar with her work with 10,000 Maniacs so I don't know how this compares).

I inherited this copy, and I chose to hang on to it because she sings beautifully, even if the songs are a tad slowish for my taste. They also don't leave much of a lasting impression - for me this is great café music - music for the background, because it's not going to upset anybody.
Where do they all belong? I haven't been especially inspired to check out her previous band but folk-rock is my thing so I just might.
