They loom large in his legend (The Album Collection playlists): Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4; Part 5
Active compensatory factors: I first became aware of Bruno thanks to his appearance on The Graham Norton Show doing Grenade. O for awesome!

His first album is fresh, relatively innocent, uncluttered and utterly brilliant. Every song takes a new approach and he sells them brilliantly. A five-star classic all the way.
His second album is overblown, too cocky by half and obsessed with sex. I was really disappointed with it. Now, I didn't expect him to do Doo-Wops part 2 but his ability to come up with hooks and good tunes seemed to disappear with the second album.
Where do they all belong? I didn't continue with his third album, 24k Magic, because it looked like he was getting too big for his boots and the relative innocence of the early days had largely gone. Maybe I was wrong. Doubt it though, looking at the cover.
