My future is past (Dr Marigold's Prescription) (LP 2403)

Dr Marigold's Prescription   Pictures Of Life (Vinyl, Dark Horse Records, 1970) ***

Genrepop of the psychedelic persuasion

Places I remember: Little Red Bookstore

Fab, and all the other pimply hyperboles: My Future Is Past

Gear costume: I Threw It All Away

Active compensatory factors: I don't know much about this group outside of this snapshot from Discogs:
Popsike group based in London, UK in the late 1960s to early 1970s.
Members: Alan French (keyboards), Bill Friend (bass), Dave Morris (drums), Fred Radley (guitar, vocals). They evolved from a group called The Followers based around North and East London in 1967.

It's not hard to see why they didn't catch on and have a sustained career. Marble Arch was not a hip label, the music is aiming to be psychedelic and hip but is just well played pop of the time and the songs outside of the Dylan cover weren't very memorable, the cover is terrible, plus the daft band name (from a Dicken's novel) is too self-consciously quaint.

Where do they all belong? Next up the first batch of Dream Theater albums.
