They loom large in his legend (The Album Collection playlists): Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4; Part 5; Part 6
Active compensatory factors: Roger Marbeck was a fan of this record, probably still is. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "Roger knows music". When a big import shipment came into the shop in 1982, he suggested I would like Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus. Oh yeah, baby. It became my summer soundtrack of 1982 while I was on teacher practicum in Keri Keri.

It holds up too. Randy California is the chief attraction - for his guitars and song-writing. In terms of songs: Mr. Skin is only one highlight on a catchy set of songs that included the single Nature's Way and Animal Zoo. Producer David Briggs was a good choice for Spirit's fourth album. he manages to inject some FIRE!
Where do they all belong? This is my only album by Spirit.
